This dapper baby and I know each other well as this was my third session with Oliver. He was such a cooperative little model that his Birthday/Cake Smash and Bubble Bath Session morphed into a Christmas Session. He was so well behaved and posing so nicely that his mom decided to keep going and get a few images for the holidays. Oliver loved his cake and ate it by the fistfulls. The cake, made by Rosi’s Cakes ( https://www.facebook.com/Rosiscakes/?fref=ts) featured an airplane to match the backdrop, all in theme with the hot air balloon/airplane first-birthday party planned by his parents. The session ended with the bubble bath portion of the program, which, in addition to resulting in adorable photos, provides the perfect opportunity to clean off all that cake! I love watching my newborns grow and change in front of my camera into precocious one-year-olds and beyond. I truly have the best job in the world.
Mercer County Family Fall Session
This lovely and oh-so-sweet family of three contacted me back in July and we set a date, but got rained out on our appointed day and had to reschedule far in advance. Well, the wait was so worth it, because the fall foliage was just peaking on the day of our session and what a gorgeous day to visit Veterans Park in Mercer County. We found a lonely country road and how wonderfully it worked with the prairie dress this sweet two-year-old had on! I really enjoyed myself on this assignment and hope to see them again soon!
New Jersey Newborn Baby Girl – Stella
Baby Stella came in for a Simple Session, which is very popular with parents because it gives the possibility of taking just a few photos for a birth announcement. Stella was a perfect angel and so photogenic that her mom purchased some additional images. We started with the angel setup which I loved so much that it’s my new profile photo on Facebook Page. And of course no baby girl session is complete without some sparkly things, so we finished up with a few adorable rhinestone headband looks.
Ella- 3 month old baby girl
Ella was sleeping in her car seat when she came to my studio with her mommy. As soon as she woke up she gave me a huge smile. I couldn’t wait to photograph this little princess. We started with a bean bag pose to recreate a newborn ‘lool’ since Ella didn’t have a newborn session. Next her mommy picked a backdrop and we took some amazing pictures of Ella on her tummy. I also took some close-up pictures of beautiful Ella which her parents loved. I just had to capture her amazing big, blue eyes!
Remi- Newborn session from Philadelphia
Remi came all the way from Philadelphia at 9-days-old. Her mom requested that one of the set-ups reflect her Polish heritage so we used lots of red and white colors and traditional Polish flower prints. The Full Session included some photos with mommy and daddy, so we did those first, then turned our focus to little Remi’s solo shots, which were saturated with color and texture.
Camila is 1! First Birthday/Cake smash Session
I first met this little girl before she was even born, when I photographed her mom’s beach maternity session. I then did her newborn and 6-month sessions. Needless to say, I got to know this sweet family very well and was sad when they moved away, but happily they made the three-hour drive back to my studio for Camila’s Cake Smash / 1st Birthday Session. Camila’s mom requested a pink and gold theme, which I loved. By the end of the session, Camila was covered in pink frosting, happy as can be and we had some fantastic shots.
Legacy Newborn Session
Legacy was a micro-preemie when she born and she came soon after her discharge from the NICU around her third month of life. Her mom liked very girly things and I put together set-ups in deeply vibrant colors, her favorite being the butterfly theme. Her big brother will join her for a sibling session in January so I am looking forward to photographing this little princess again.
Joni- Simple Newborn Session
Joni came all the way from Hunterdon County for her Simple Newborn Session. At nine-days-old, she was the perfect little model, giving some of the biggest smiles I have ever seen. Her mom had fun looking through the prop wall to choose the cutest headbands and even incorporated Joni’s grandmother’s favorite color, yellow, into one of the set-ups.
